Hartford County is comprised of Avon, Berlin, Bloomfield, Bristol, Burlington, Canton, East Granby, East Hartford, East Windsor, Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartford, Hartland, Manchester, Marlborough, New Britain, Newington, Plainville, Rocky Hill, Simsbury, South Windsor, Southington, Suffield, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, and Windsor Locks.

There are 891,720 people living in Hartford County. Of these, 209,295 (23%) are youth under 20 years old. 346,512, or 39%, are of prime working age, or people between 25 and 54 years old. 155,516 (17%) are 65 years of age and older.
